My Dad and I had disussed his impending death at length–and he entrusted me to carry out his final wishes for no heroic life support. He ultimately died in comfort, with me holding his hand. These disabled babies, children and elderly are being subjected to cruelty of the worst sort.

You are absolutely right, Roberta…as a pet owner, I could no longer watch my little 4 lb Poodle suffer & had the Vet put her to sleep while cradled in my arms. Why we don’t give humans the same dignity & respect is the question at hand. Government needs to stay out of the dying process! Shame on Britain & shame on the U.S. for incarcerating anyone who has the empathy like Dr. Kavorkian had!
