Bill: There are community strategies for building that can help prevent fires from consuming homes. Good examples in the San Diego area are Rancho Santa Fe’s Crosby Estates, Cielo and SantaLuz. All were vulnerable, but none burned because of firebreaks around the communities.

Don’t let them rebuild!! We scream and shout about people on the East coast rebuilding in hurricane zones, and we shouldn’t support rebuilding in undefended fire zones.
