Beautiful Attractions in Georgia, USA
If you visit the state of Georgia in the United States you will experience a state full of the culture and history of the country. And it is in this state where you get the real meaning of the southern experience. If you know Martin Luther King and if you have loved the story of Gone with the Wind, these are all associated with this state. Variety characterisizes the state of Georgia. If you are fond of art then you should definitely go to the town of Blue Ridge. Because of the many arts and crafts galleries and live music performance you can enjoy, the place was fondly nicknamed ‘Switzerland of the South.’ Wooded areas surround the small town which is ideal for hiking trail adventures, and if you love kayaking, you can also do this activity in the nearby Ocoee River.
Then there is a town on Pine Mountain which is adjacent to the Calloway Gardens resort where you can find beautiful gardens, lakes and golf courses. The town proper is where you can find things local and here you get a taste of southern cuisine at their traditional restaurants; there are also antique shops and other shops selling local items. In Calloway Gardens you can find many kinds of accommodations or nearby apartments in LaGrange, GA, which is the city next to this town.
You can also go to the sandy beaches and sand dunes of Tybee island, which is a few hours’ drive from Savannah. Water and land activities are plenty in this 22 square mile island. You can also simply laze around the beach and watch the beautiful view from Tybee.
If you want to go trail hiking through the Cohutta Mountains of Georgia you can follow the Panther Creek Trail for a great hiking adventure with your friends. What is great about this trail is that you can see majestic waterfalls along the way which flows in multiple tiers and ends up in a pool of clear, crisp water. Here you can spend time in quiet meditative amid the gentle, relaxing sound of the waterfalls. There are also campsites on both sides of the falls where you can camp with your friends.
Providence Canyon is Georgia’s own version of the Grand Canyon which is located within the Providence National Park. It is a beautiful sight of rock formations in orange, red, purple and orange colors and is a very striking sight especially if you visit during the summer months. If you want to take the canyon hands on, you can do so with hiking and rock-climbing activities in the place.
